Pennsylvania Science Teachers Association

PSTA works towards the advancement, improvement, and coordination of science education in all areas of science, at all educational levels. PSTA is an affiliate of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA).   There is an annual December convention and membership is available to those actively engaging in, or having interest in the sciences and/or science education in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

New Jersey Science Teachers Association

NJSTA is an organization that promotes excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning for all by: 1) modeling excellence; 2) embracing diversity through equity, respect, and opportunity for all; 3) providing and expanding professional development to support standards-based science education; 4) serving as the voice for excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning, curriculum and instruction, and assessment; 5) promoting interest and support for science education, collaboratively and proactively throughout society; and 6) exemplifying a dynamic organization that values and practices self renewal.

New Jersey Earth Science Teachers Association

NJESTA is a nonprofit educational organization whose purpose is the advancement, stimulation, extension, improvement, and coordination of Earth Science education at all educational levels.

Delaware Teachers of Science

The DTS website contains listings of teacher resources, fieldtrip resources,  and links to other organizations of interest to science teachers.

National Science Teachers Association

Headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, the National Science Teachers Association is a member-driven organization, 60,000-strong.  NSTA publishes books and journals for science teachers from kindergarten through college.  Each year there are four NSTA conferences on science education: three regional events in the fall and a national gathering in the spring.   NSTA provides ways for science teachers to connect with one another, and informs Congress and the public on vital questions affecting science literacy and a well-educated workforce.

National Middle Level Science Teachers Association

The National Middle Level Science Teachers' Association coordinates with the National Science Teachers Association Middle Level Division.  Its goals are to:

  1. Involve more members in NMLSTA projects
  2. Provide more networking opportunities for middle level science teachers
  3. Strengthen our state contacts program so that we can get the word out to all middle level science teachers about the benefits of NMLSTA
  4. Continue partnerships with companies and organizations to improve middle level science teaching
  5. Share effective teaching activities and the results of educational research useful to middle level science teachers.

National Earth Science Teachers Association

The National Earth Science Teachers Association is a nonprofit educational organization, founded in 1983, whose purpose is the advancement, stimulation, extension, improvement, and coordination of Earth Science education at all educational levels.

National Association of Biology Teachers

NABT is the leader in life science education.  To date, more than 9,000 educators have joined NABT to share experiences and expertise with colleagues from around the globe; keep up with trends and developments in the field; and grow professionally.  The NABT mission is to empower educators to provide the best possible biology and life science education for all students.  The goals are as follows:

  1. To provide expertise and opportunities for members to enhance their professional performance.
  2. To advocate the teaching and learning of the biological sciences based on the nature and methods of science and the best practices of education.
  3. To attract and represent the full spectrum of educators in biology and the life sciences.
  4. To operate with benchmark levels of organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
